The event supported My Cancer My Choices, a charity that offers complementary therapies to individuals with cancer in Berkshire. Our team included Gavin Avery and Edward Aslet from Visualization and with Matthew Cole and Miles Donovan from Christie.
This year's participation held special significance for us, as our colleague and friend, Regina Grosier, has been personally affected by breast cancer. It was an honour to support the event in solidarity with Regina.
Regina's journey with cancer led her to discover the therapeutic power of nature. During her treatment, she embarked on a 22km hike to support My Cancer, My Choices, and quickly fell in love with the experience. Even while undergoing reconstructive surgery, Regina joined walking groups and trained for more challenging treks. The following year, she completed a demanding five-day trek of the Himalayas that tested her limits and deepened her connection to the cause.
Cancer was a wake-up call for Regina, introducing her to many incredible people and inspiring her to embrace new challenges. Soon, she will be fulfilling a dream by hiking Machu Picchu in Peru.
It was a privilege to be part of the golf day, supporting both a worthy cause and a dear friend. Congratulations to Matthew who won the ‘Beat the pro’ competition with his impressive round.
We are excited for Regina and wish her every success on her upcoming adventure. We can’t wait to hear all about it!
